Publisher Netmarble and developer Netmarble Neo have officially announced that Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE will launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in Q3 2026. The action RPG is currently available on PC, where it debuted via Steam and the Microsoft Store in late 2025.
The console release marks the next major step for the adaptation of the globally popular Solo Leveling franchise, bringing its fast-paced combat and progression systems to a wider audience on current-generation platforms.

A Global Webtoon Phenomenon Expands to Consoles

Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE is based on the massively successful Solo Leveling webtoon, which has accumulated more than 14.3 billion views worldwide. The game retells the journey of Sung Jinwoo, beginning from his humble status as an E-Rank hunter and following his transformation into one of humanity’s most powerful defenders against supernatural threats emerging from mysterious gates.
The console versions will allow players to experience both the original narrative arcs from the webtoon and additional story content created specifically for the game adaptation. This hybrid approach helps expand the source material while preserving the dramatic progression that fans already recognize.
With the upcoming PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, the title is positioned to reach a broader player base beyond its existing PC audience.
Fast-Paced Combat Built Around the Monarch of Shadows

At its core, Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE focuses on dynamic action RPG combat that evolves alongside Sung Jinwoo’s abilities. Players can unlock powerful techniques through the Monarch’s Awakening system, allowing Jinwoo to access increasingly devastating shadow-based skills as he grows stronger throughout the story.
Combat emphasizes mobility and timing, encouraging players to dodge enemy attacks using Extreme Evasion mechanics before countering with precision strikes. A branching skill tree supports eight different job advancements, giving players flexibility to shape Jinwoo’s combat style according to their preferred approach.
The game also features a wide range of weapon crafting options inspired directly by the webtoon, including iconic equipment such as Kasaka’s Venom Fang and the Demon King’s Daggers. These systems reinforce the progression loop by encouraging players to gather resources from defeated enemies and create increasingly powerful gear.
Cooperative Raids and Hunter Team Strategies

Beyond the single-player story campaign, Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE introduces cooperative gameplay through four-player raid encounters. These missions allow players to challenge powerful Commander-level enemies either as Sung Jinwoo himself or alongside other hunters drawn from the Solo Leveling universe.
This cooperative structure expands the experience beyond solo dungeon exploration, offering opportunities for coordinated combat strategies and team-based encounters against large-scale threats.
Additional companion systems further enhance gameplay flexibility. Support hunters can assist Jinwoo in battle, while allied characters can also participate independently in dedicated hunter-only missions across selected activities.
Expanding the Solo Leveling Action RPG Experience

Since its PC release, Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE has drawn attention for its fast combat pacing, flashy visual presentation, and faithful recreation of key moments from the original webtoon storyline. The title supports both single-player progression and online cooperative features, alongside character customization options that include skill upgrades, equipment crafting, and cosmetic variations.
With its arrival on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S scheduled for Q3 2026, the console release is expected to significantly expand the reach of the game while introducing the Monarch of Shadows’ journey to a new audience of action RPG players.

As anticipation builds ahead of launch, fans of the franchise and newcomers alike will soon have the opportunity to experience Sung Jinwoo’s rise from the weakest hunter to one of the most formidable forces in the Solo Leveling universe on current-generation consoles.
