The game will let players build a team of fighters pulled from across the DC universe, mixing and matching heroes and villains to create their own lineup. Players will also be able to customize their fighters by upgrading their stats and choosing from a range of interchangeable super moves. Aside from PvP battles, DCKO will include player-versus-environment content as well, such as story modes and a mode called the Rift. The developers have said the game will receive regular updates, adding new characters, maps, stories, and rewards over time.
At launch, the game’s roster is expected to include well-known DC characters such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman, Green Lantern, Cyborg, Poison Ivy, Raven, Bane, Zatanna, Starfire, Blue Beetle, Constantine, Katana, Lex Luthor, and Doomsday. Drop Fake has also confirmed that a new playable character will be added every month going forward.
