Following that, an open beta for all players, regardless of pre-order status, will run from August 28 to September 1. This wider test will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC, giving Nintendo’s newest console players a chance to join in as well.
Alongside the beta rollout, Activision will host Call of Duty: NEXT on August 21. The event will include live gameplay, a full briefing on the game’s Multiplayer content, and new reveals leading into the beta test. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled to launch on October 23 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC, with the PC version available through Steam, Microsoft Store, and Battle.net.
Pre-orders are currently open on all platforms except Switch 2, where pre-orders will begin on August 26. With the beta dates now locked in, players have a clear timeline for testing the game before its full release later this year.
