Publisher 505 Games and developer Indolphinity have signed a deal to create a new game in the WUCHANG series. The announcement was made by both companies together. Indolphinity is a Chinese game studio founded by Xia Siyuan, the creator of WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers.
The partnership comes after 505 Games’ parent company, Digital Bros Group, bought the rights to the WUCHANG intellectual property in April 2026. Since then, the two companies have been working out how to move the franchise forward. Under the new agreement, Indolphinity will handle the creative side of the sequel, while 505 Games will provide funding and manage publishing around the world.

Digital Bros Group also plans to open a new subsidiary in Chengdu, China, to support the project. This office will work closely with Indolphinity and is meant to strengthen the group’s ties to the Chinese game development scene.
Digital Bros co-CEOs and co-founders Raffi and Rami Galante spoke about the partnership in a press release. They said they see WUCHANG as a long-term global franchise and that working with Xia Siyuan and the new studio is a natural next step. They added that their goal has been to protect the original creative vision of the series while giving the development team the resources and publishing support needed to reach players worldwide. They also said they want to keep the IP’s cultural roots in China while bringing WUCHANG to a global audience.

Xia Siyuan, founder of Indolphinity, also commented on the announcement. He said the team is happy to continue working with 505 Games under the new Indolphinity name, and that as a team of Chinese developers, they believe their cultural background is central to what makes their games stand out. He said 505 Games’ respect for the creative process and understanding of developers’ needs matches their own values, which gives them confidence in the series’ future. He added that the team listens to player and community feedback and remains committed to their original creative goals, aiming to deliver a more polished and complete experience. He closed by saying WUCHANG’s story is not finished, and that Indolphinity and 505 Games are starting a new chapter for the series rooted in Eastern culture.
No further details about the new game, including its title, release window, or platforms, have been shared at this time.
