We managed to get our hands on the new Secretlab Titan EVO 2022 Pikachu edition. Secretlabs’ latest gaming chair is adorned with Pokemon’s electrifying mascot.

So, how does it feel to sit on Pikachu?

Overall Design

The gaming chair is based on the Award-winning TITAN Evo 2022 Series and in regards to Pikachu, the designers certainly didn’t skip the details. You can see the electric mouse imagery all over the chair, like the cute Pikachu posing on the front and back of the chair, the pokemon’s National Pokedex No25 on the left side wing, and the two pokeballs on the right. These design touches were clearly made with Pokemon fans in mind. 

Main Features

Secretlab NEO Hybrid Leatherette

The material used for the front of the chair feels premium. The leather-like material feels so authentic I wouldn’t be able to tell otherwise. I like its cold-cure foam seat because of the medium-firm base, you can easily change your sitting posture without worrying about your spine being put under pressure.

The only potential problem is that since the material is leather-like, the back might get a little bit sweaty if you sit in the chair during hot days. I would have personally preferred if they used SoftWeave Plus.

Proprietary sculpted pebble seat base

The curve on the seat base helps to maintain a healthier sitting pose, allowing you to stay seated for hours without your behind feeling sore. The large edges further allow you to stretch your legs freely.

4-way L-ADAPT Lumbar Support

You can adjust the lumbar support in and out, front and end, giving maximum flexibility. Just simply rotate the buttons on both sides of the chairs.

4D Armrests with CloudSwap Technology

You can change the directions to fit your wrists and arms, so your shoulder can get a suitable resting pose when leaning on it. The CloudSwap magnet is quite strong, you won’t feel loose until you pull it up to change them, and it remains silent when it is attached to the magnets.

Magnetic Memory Foam Pillow

I really love this pillow, and it’s not just because of the softness. Sometimes I just want to curl up or recline in the chair, and while doing this, I can move the pillow and it still covers my neck easily. Also unlike the leather, the pillow remains cold even after a long time sitting.

Closing Thoughts:

As a Pokemon gaming chair, the Secretlab Titan EVO 2022 Pikachu edition is definitely prepared for fans, but putting that aside it’s still a comfortable gaming chair, and I am impressed by its personalized ergonomics.

It can be reclined with a max of 165 degrees and is also able to tilt. You don’t need to hard to find your best position, just lean back and it will lock in easily. It’s a good choice if you’d prefer a good leather base gaming chair.
