From 6 August, players can encounter hat-wearing Pikachus in Pokemon Go! You’ll find Pikachu wearing a different hat every day in celebration of the latest Pokemon Go Fest in Yokohama, Japan. Gotta hat them all! The event will last over the next seven days. It’s also the start of Yokohama’s annual Pikachu Outbreak Festival, with thousands of Pikachu mascots on the loose.
Hats available are a Witch’s cap, deerstalker, Santa hat, birthday cap, longbrimmed summer cap, floral arrangement and Ash’s hat from the Pokemon anime. Pikachu has worn all these hats before, but newer players will get their chance now.
Other special events in Pokemon Go are also running! Catch shiny Bonsly and Poliwag. Gift or store more items to friends in a special Gift event. Challenges related to Pokemon Go Fest are also available. Completing 16 million Field Research tasks will allow players to get Stardust Bonuses and a special Suicine raid day later this month.
