KOEI TECMO GAMES has announced the next mainline entry in the long-running Atelier series. The game is titled Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories, and it was revealed during the recent Nintendo Direct. Shortly after the Direct ended, it was confirmed the game is headed to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, with a worldwide release planned for early 2027.

The game appears to be a direct sequel to Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land. The announcement trailer showed a similar action-oriented combat system returning for Karia, and Yumia herself makes a brief appearance in the footage as well.

Story details are still thin, but the teaser text gives a glimpse of the setting: “A world wrapped in mystery located deep below Aladiss. What discoveries and revelations await Karia there?” Beyond that, not much else has been shared about the plot or characters just yet.

A dedicated live stream with more information on Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories is scheduled for June 12 at 4:00 a.m. PT / 7:00 a.m. ET / 20:00 JST, which will be available to watch on YouTube.
