Atari and Bandai Namco are teaming up to mark 45 years of Pac-Man with a special collection that includes a bright yellow console and new game releases. The biggest item in the Atari X Namco collection is the Atari 2600+ Pac-Man edition. This updated version of the classic console comes in Pac-Man’s signature yellow color and costs $169.99. You can pre-order it now on Atari’s website.
The console comes with Pac-Man: Double Feature, which has two games on one cartridge. The first is Pac-Man 7800, a new arcade-style version of the original game. The second is Pac-Man 2600, which was the first time Pac-Man appeared on a home console.
Might we introduce you to the Atari 2600+ PAC-MAN Collection?

If you’re going to San Diego Comic-Con, you might get lucky with a special edition. Atari will give away 1,000 Golden Box Editions of Pac-Man: Double Feature for $99.99 each. These collector’s sets come with cartridges in five different colors – red, blue, pink, orange, or yellow – matching the ghosts and Pac-Man. Each set also includes a patch and pin you can’t get anywhere else.
The collection also features wireless joysticks in the same five colors representing Pac-Man and the four ghosts: Inky, Pinky, Blinky, and Clyde. Each joystick costs $39.99.

Atari isn’t stopping there. They’re also adding new content to Atari 50 with The Namco Collection DLC. For $7.99, players will get Pac-Man 2600, Galaga, Dig Dug, Xevious, Galaxian, and other classic games. This add-on will come out later this year.
Karim Farghaly from Bandai Namco Entertainment America said working with Atari again is “an incredible honor.” He explained that the collection mixes nostalgia with new experiences to bring both old and new fans together around one of gaming’s most famous characters.
