Survios has released Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition – Part One for Nintendo Switch 2 via the Nintendo eShop, while also confirming that a PlayStation 4 version is currently in development for release in the near future. The Switch 2 version is available now for USD $19.99 (MYR 79), marking the latest platform expansion for the reworked survival horror shooter originally built from its VR roots.
The game first launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on September 30, 2025, before being reimagined as a flatscreen experience under the “Evolved Edition” label. This version adapts the original virtual reality design into a traditional first-person shooter format while retaining its cinematic horror presentation.
A Survival Horror Experience Set in the Alien Universe

Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition is set within the iconic Alien universe, placing players in the role of rogue Colonial Marine Zula Hendricks. The story takes place between the events of the films Alien and Aliens, expanding the franchise’s lore with a new narrative focused on survival and investigation.
The mission begins when Zula responds to a distress call on the remote planet Purdan. What initially appears to be a standard operation quickly escalates after she discovers a secret Gemini Exoplanet Solutions blacksite facility that has been overrun by Xenomorphs. Assisted by her synthetic companion Davis 01, Zula must navigate the facility and survive encounters with the franchise’s signature deadly creatures.
Nintendo Switch 2 Enhancements and Control Improvements

The Nintendo Switch 2 version introduces specific enhancements designed to improve gameplay precision and accessibility. One of the most notable additions is full support for Joy-Con mouse-style controls. When a Joy-Con is detached and placed on a surface, the game automatically transitions into precision aiming mode without requiring manual settings adjustments. This allows for more accurate targeting during combat sequences against Xenomorph threats.
Survios states that this feature is designed to improve responsiveness and make aiming feel more natural, particularly in high-pressure encounters typical of survival horror gameplay.
Cinematic Horror Presentation Across Platforms

Across all platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition – Part One focuses on delivering a cinematic horror experience. The game features high-fidelity visuals, 3D audio design, and atmospheric environments intended to replicate the tension and isolation of the Alien franchise.
The reworked flatscreen edition preserves the core structure of the original VR release while adapting its mechanics for traditional gameplay. This includes rebalanced combat encounters, updated controls, and a more conventional first-person shooter interface.
PlayStation 4 Version Coming Soon

Alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 release, Survios confirmed that a PlayStation 4 version of Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition – Part One is planned for release in the near future. No specific date has been announced, but the developer has indicated that it will arrive after the current Switch 2 launch window.
With its expansion to additional platforms, Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition – Part One continues to broaden its reach beyond VR audiences, bringing its survival horror experience to a wider range of console players heading into 2026.
