The team behind the recently launched mecha combat game Mecha Break is thinking bigger when it comes to the future of the game. Amazing Seasun Games has revealed plans to turn their robot-fighting title into a full multimedia franchise, similar to popular mecha series like Gundam and Macross.

In a recent interview with Game*Spark, Amazing Seasun Games CEO Kris Kwok shared his vision for expanding Mecha Break beyond its current PC and Xbox Series X|S release. “I want to develop Mecha Break in various ways as an IP in the future,” Kwok explained. “Like the trailers we have released so far, I want to make different things, such as anime and novels. Also, I’m currently working on making figures.”
The expansion plans make sense given Kwok’s background and inspiration. The CEO has mentioned that classic mecha franchises like Gundam and Macross, which he loved as a child, directly influenced Mecha Break’s creation. Both of those series grew from their original anime into massive multimedia empires spanning toys, games, movies, and more.

Currently, Mecha Break offers players unique gameplay through its deathmatch and extraction modes, setting it apart from other mecha games in the market. The game’s story revolves around a mysterious mineral called Corite that’s spreading rapidly, providing the backdrop for why players are battling in giant robots.
For now, players can experience Mecha Break on PC and Xbox Series X|S, with a PlayStation 5 version planned for release later in 2025. But if Kwok’s vision comes to pass, this game launch may just be the beginning of a much bigger mecha universe.
