Palworld Crosses 30 Million Copies Sold as Player Base Tops 40 Million

Palworld continues to grow at a rapid pace, with new figures showing the game has now sold more than 30 million copies worldwide. The update comes shortly after developer Pocketpair announced that the game had surpassed 40 million total players.

According to analyst Rhys Elliott of Alinea Analytics, Palworld has sold 30.5 million copies globally, bringing in around $700 million in revenue. Steam remains the game’s biggest platform by far, accounting for about 86% of all copies sold. Since the release of version 1.0, the game has picked up an additional 1.5 million sales on Steam alone.

Revenue per copy also varies by region and platform. PlayStation and Xbox tend to generate more revenue per sale due to where those copies are sold. Steam, on the other hand, has a much larger presence in markets like China, where regional pricing brings the cost down significantly, with the game priced at around $11 there compared to $21 in the United States.

Looking at the full player base of 40 million, Steam again leads the way with 64.9% of players. Xbox follows at 31.1%, a figure that includes players who accessed the game through Game Pass rather than a direct purchase. PlayStation makes up the remaining 4%.

These numbers reflect Palworld’s continued momentum well over a year after its initial early access launch, as the game keeps drawing in both new and returning players across PC and consoles. With sales and player counts still climbing, Palworld remains one of the standout titles in the survival and creature collecting genre.
