Joey and Mai debut in Yu-Gi-Oh! CROSS DUEL

Konami Digital Entertainment Limited (KONAMI) has announced that two returning characters from the Yu-Gi-Oh! series, Joey Wheeler and Mai Valentine will be playable in the mobile game Yu-Gi-Oh! CROSS DUEL starting today

Joey Wheeler is one of the protagonists in Yu-Gi-Oh! and is Yugi Mito’s best friend while Mai Valentine is also from Yu-Gi-Oh! and a close friend to Joey.

Players can unlock Joey and Mai through participating in the new two-part event titled “Joey’s Road to a True Duelist” starting today until the event ends on October 24th.

The event can be played in Tag Duel mode, a single player mode in Yu-Gi-Oh! CROSS DUEL where players will partner with characters from the Yu-Gi-Oh! series in 2v2 Duels.

Take part in the event and team up with Joey himself to earn in-game rewards such as:

• Game Mats
• Card Sleeves
• Profile Icons featuring Joey and Mai

New cards are also available for players through the gacha featuring Joey Wheeler’s iconic Yu-Gi-Oh! monsters such as:

• Red-Eyes Black Dragon
• Baby Dragon
• Time Wizard
• Gearfried the Iron Knight

Yu-Gi-Oh! CROSS DUEL is a card game offering a unique twist to the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise in the form of a four-player battle instead of the traditional two-player.

The game is free to play worldwide on both Android and iOS.
