During the Xbox Games Showcase, Xbox announced two new limited edition hardware pieces to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the original Xbox: the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition console and the Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition. Both are set to launch in November.
The Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition brings something new to the Series X line, as it marks the first time a translucent design is coming to the console. The look is directly inspired by the original Xbox and its signature OG Green color that many players will recognize. Under the hood, it carries the same power as the standard Xbox Series X, including 1 TB of storage. When powered on, the “X” logo lights up in green, a callback to the original Xbox startup, while the front of the console also features the Xbox 25th Anniversary logo and other design details that pay tribute to classic Xbox hardware and its fanbase.
Alongside the console, Xbox is also releasing the Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition in translucent OG Green. The design is packed with nods to the original Xbox era, from the classic ABXY button colors to the green color scheme. The bumpers are designed to honor the original black and white buttons found on the “Duke,” the controller that shipped with the first Xbox. Flip it over and the back case and battery door are fully transparent, revealing the classic Xbox logo inside.

The console and controller will be sold together as a limited edition collection in select markets, though the controller will also be available on its own. Xbox has not yet shared pricing details or preorder information but has confirmed that more details will be coming soon through select retailers.
