Kuro Games has confirmed that version 3.1 of Wuthering Waves, titled “For You Who Walk in Snow,” will launch on February 5. The update will be available as a free download and brings a large amount of new story content, gameplay systems, events, and technical improvements to the open-world action RPG. This marks one of the game’s most content-heavy updates to date, with a strong focus on narrative progression and quality-of-life upgrades.
New Main Story Content and Free Rewards

Version 3.1 expands the main storyline with several new quests, headlined by Chapter III Act III, “The Star That Voyages Far.” This chapter continues the central narrative and serves as a key moment in the ongoing story. Alongside it, players can experience the “Segue: Afterstory” quest titled “All That Sunlight Touches,” as well as an additional quest called “Unsigned Good Wishes.”
To celebrate the update, Kuro Games will distribute a total of 1,600 Astrites through in-game mail, giving players extra resources to prepare for upcoming banners and content.
New Outfit and Progression Systems

Players who complete Chapter III Act III will unlock a new signature outfit for Rover called “Perpetual Spark,” which also includes a matching avatar. The outfit will be obtainable for free through normal gameplay.
Two new progression features, Starpaths Intertwined and Moonlit Path, will also debut in version 3.1. These systems allow players to earn Journey Points and Moonlit Rings to unlock various rewards. Kuro Games has stated that full rule details for both systems will be shared through official announcements.
Major Gameplay and Performance Optimizations

Version 3.1 introduces extensive optimizations across leveling, exploration, and overall performance. Echo management will receive batch Main Stat modification support, while the Data Merge system will now allow synthesis of Echoes tied to specific Sonata Sets up to ten times per week. Material tracking has also been streamlined, as selecting an acquisition path will now directly mark enemy locations on the map.
The Expedition Motorbike sees significant upgrades, including a new Glacier Track ability that allows it to travel across open water. A new All-Terrain Tactics module joins the system, while Autopilot Mode now integrates Fast Travel for smoother navigation. Visual improvements include an upgraded dashboard with futuristic lighting and a fully visible first-person display. Mobile players will benefit from improved controls, including a new joystick option and enhanced camera control during Boost and Bounce Jump actions.
On the technical side, Kuro Games has optimized resource loading and data streaming to reduce stutter on PC and mobile devices with limited storage or lower specifications. Ultra High graphics settings will now be available on mobile devices using Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, MediaTek Dimensity 9300, or Dimensity 8400 chipsets. The update also enhances snow and ice environmental visuals and expands controller vibration support on PC and consoles.
New Resonators, Weapons, and Convene Banners

Two new Resonators, Aemeath and Luuk Herssen, will join the roster in version 3.1. They will appear across upcoming Featured Resonator Convene phases, with Phase I featuring Take Flight in Spring (Aema, Horizon of Dawnbreak, and Roar of Triumph, followed by Phase II banners When Winter Thaws and From Ashes.
New weapons Everbright Polestar and Daybreaker’s Spine will also be added, alongside Featured Weapon Convene phases that include Kumokiri, Wildfire Mark, and Lux & Umbra.
Events, Enemies, and New Areas
Version 3.1 introduces a wide selection of limited-time events, including Where Stars Cascade Down, Gifts of Soft Snow, Full Throttle! Bolt & Blitz!, Unfrozen Traces, Footprints on Frostlands, and Peaks of Prestige: Rekindled Duel. Additional events such as Blade Hunter: Wilderness, TERM-X: Outreach, Lollo Campaign: Implementation, and the web-based Veins of the Frostlands will further expand seasonal activities.
Players can also encounter new Echoes like Sigillum, Nameless Explorer, Reminiscence Kronaclaw, Kronablight, Glammoth, Iceglint Dancer, and Shadow Stepper. New Sonata Effects, Phantom Echoes, a Tactical Hologram challenge featuring Reactor Husk, and a new explorable area, Roya Frostlands – Frostlands Surface, round out the update’s content.
