Acer Malaysia is here to give you some tips on how to be productive when working from home! With the now extended Movement Control Order (MCO), we’d still nevertheless need to keep that productivity up as working from home becomes the norm during this period. More likely than not, most of us won’t be having proper seating for working long periods of time, or even convenient power outlets near a comfortable workspace. Here are some things you can keep in mind:

Look for long battery life

So that you don’t need to be stuck near power outlets, you might do well with a laptop with a longer battery life. Laptops like the 10th Gen Intel CPU, Acer Aspire 3 comes with up to 7.5 hours battery life from a single full charge. The SSD it packs only sweetens the deal, for quick startup and loading.

7.5 hours isn’t the longest battery life laptop from Acer though, with the honour going to the best-selling Acer Swift 5. Get all the performance on-the-go you need with the Acer Swift 5, with 11 hours battery on a 0.99kg machine. The latter currently has very limited stock during this MCO.

Look for the right performance that meets your needs

Your usual laptop is probably enough for Netflix, but it won’t make the cut when needing to process all the work you need to do. Acer recommends a device with at least Intel Core i7, dedicated graphics card, 512GB SSD and 8GB RAM for uncompromising productivity.

Find all that with the Acer Nitro 5, packing NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660Ti with IPS display that supports up to 120Hz refresh rate for the gamer in you after work. You can even upgrade it for more storage or RAM after the MCO! If you want a bigger screen, there’s a 17.3-inch variant of the Acer Nitro 5 with 144Hz refresh rate.

Look for bigger or secondary display(s) to maximize productivity and entertainment

Some of you might be used to having a bigger monitor in the office, and going back home to a 15.6 inch display to for working from home isn’t enough when you need to check on spreadsheets or multiple sources at once. In that case, a secondary display would do the trick, but do pick one that you can fit on your table right now! Also consider monitors with VESA mount support if you do need it if you have a bracket.

The 24-inch Acer KG241QA can fit on most tables, and can be affixed to the wall with a VESA mount/bracket, though the monitor itself doesn’t come with a bracket. The FHD display with up to 144Hz refresh rate support and mininum 0.6ms response time, it can more than do the job for a secondary work display, doubling up for gaming after working hours. Being at home doesn’t always mean work, so an option for entertainment could be a projector to share content or for video calls. The Acer C250i will be able to fill this niche, a multi-angle projector with unique twisted roll design for projecting onto a wall, ceiling or any flat surface wirelessly.
