The upcoming open-world anime RPG Neverness to Everness is shaping up to be one of the most unusual crossovers-heavy releases of 2026. Developer Hotta Studio and publisher Perfect World Games recently held a pre-launch livestream showcasing a mix of collaborations, gameplay systems, and technical updates ahead of the game’s official release on April 29, 2026.
The game will launch on PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android, with full cross-platform support and ongoing pre-registration rewards.
Porsche and Persona 5 Lead Unexpected Collaboration Lineup

The biggest talking point from the livestream comes from two major collaborations that feel wildly different in tone but land in the same game.
First, Porsche is officially joining Neverness to Everness with the inclusion of the Porsche 918 Spyder as an in-game vehicle. Players will be able to drive and collect the high-performance car within the game’s open-world city environment.
At the same time, Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5: The Phantom X are also crossing over through music integration. Tracks from both titles will appear in-game and can be played through an in-car radio system or via a portable audio feature while exploring the city.
As a result, the game blends luxury automotive branding with iconic JRPG music in a way that feels intentionally eclectic rather than strictly thematic.
New Characters and Limited-Time Banners Introduced

Beyond collaborations, the livestream also revealed new playable characters and banner systems.
Nanally joins as a limited-time character with a 14-day availability window and uses gravity-based abilities focused on vertical movement. Meanwhile, Hitori appears in a 21-day banner and specializes in time manipulation during combat. Additionally, Aurelia was confirmed as a standard banner character.
These characters connect to an expanded Bond system that emphasizes interaction-driven progression. Players can experience voiced dialogue scenes, animated character moments, and optional relationship activities throughout the city.
Side Activities, Multiplayer, and City Systems Expand Gameplay

Neverness to Everness also continues to expand its side content systems. A Mahjong-inspired mini-game called Little Sparrow has been introduced, featuring unlockable tables and cosmetic tile sets.
In addition, fishing progression systems now tie into reward milestones, while multiplayer receives attention through the Pink Paws Heist mode. This co-op feature allows players to complete missions together and unlock outfits and vehicles as rewards.
The game also supports deeper simulation systems, including property ownership, business management, and character-driven exploration across its urban setting.
Technical Improvements and Open-World Setting
Hotta Studio confirmed technical upgrades including ray tracing support and optimization improvements across PC and mobile platforms. Movement systems and environmental interactions have also been refined to improve overall gameplay fluidity.
The game takes place in the city of Hethereau, where players investigate supernatural anomalies while managing everyday activities such as driving, collecting vehicles, and building relationships with multiple characters.
A Crossover-Heavy Open World Arrives This Month
With its mix of luxury car branding, JRPG music collaborations, social systems, and supernatural storytelling, Neverness to Everness is positioning itself as a highly unconventional open-world RPG.
As launch approaches, the game’s unusual blend of collaborations remains its most defining feature, raising questions about how all these elements will come together once players finally enter Hethereau on April 29, 2026.
