Neverness To Everness (NTE) is an urban open-world action RPG developed by Hotta Studio, the team behind Tower of Fantasy. Set in the anomaly-filled city of Hethereau, the game combines free exploration, character-driven storytelling, and real-time combat built around Attribute reactions and team synergy. The Neverness To Everness (NTE) tier list evaluates all currently available characters based on their performance in Beyond the Rails and High Risk Commission content. With the game already live, the current meta continues to evolve around reaction-based team building, where character strength depends not only on individual damage output, but also on how effectively each unit supports team composition, synergy, and overall combat flexibility across different encounters.
Tier Explanation

SSS Tier
These are the absolute core of the current meta. Characters in this tier define optimal team compositions and often provide unmatched damage, utility, or flexibility. They are the most efficient and universally valuable units in the game.
SS Tier
Very strong characters that perform at a high level but may require specific team setups, investment, or conditions to reach peak performance. They are still meta-relevant but not universally dominant.
S Tier
Solid and reliable units that perform well in most content but are generally outclassed by higher tiers in optimized teams. They are viable but not central to the meta.
A Tier
Niche or situational characters. They can function effectively in certain setups or early/mid progression but lack the scaling or synergy needed for high-end performance.
B Tier
Lowest impact characters in the current meta. These units are typically limited in utility, damage, or synergy, and are mainly used for casual or early-game play.

SSS Tier — Meta Core Defining Units
Chiz (A3+)
At higher investment levels, Chiz becomes one of the most flexible and powerful DPS units in the game. Her Grain mechanic becomes significantly more consistent, allowing smoother rotations and strong Cosmos damage scaling. At A3+, she transitions into a quick-swap DPS capable of adapting to multiple team structures while maintaining excellent output.
Nanally (A0)
Nanally is currently the strongest DPS in Neverness To Everness at launch. With proper team optimization, she delivers unmatched raw damage output and serves as the benchmark for all offensive characters in the game.
Zero (A3+)
Zero provides exceptional flexibility through an instant cycle mechanic, enabling fast reaction setups across Anima and Lakshana compositions. Their hybrid role as Sub DPS and utility healer makes them universally valuable in nearly all team archetypes.
Haniel (A6)
Haniel is one of the most consistent support buffers in the game, offering strong team-wide amplification and stable synergy across multiple elemental setups. She is also one of the most reliable F2P-friendly support units.
Sakiri (A0)
Sakiri excels in AoE control, buffing, and reaction-based synergy. Her kit allows her to fit into multiple team compositions, making her one of the most versatile supports in the current meta.
SS Tier — High Performance but Situational
Baicang (A0)
Baicang is currently the strongest DoT specialist in the game. He excels in sustained damage scenarios and rewards mechanical mastery, particularly in longer encounters where uptime matters most.
Chiz (A0)
At base investment, Chiz remains powerful but significantly harder to optimize. Her Grain mechanic becomes RNG-reliant, requiring precise execution for maximum damage output.
Daffodil (A0)
Daffodil is a highly flexible Chaos unit capable of fitting into both Nova and Scorch team structures. However, her true power is only fully realized at higher dupe investment (A5+).
Hathor (A0)
Hathor is a burst-oriented Sub DPS who performs best in short rotation windows and charged skill damage cycles.
Jiuyuan (A0)
Jiuyuan provides strong utility through crowd control, early healing access, and excellent synergy within Charge-based team compositions.
S Tier — Solid but Not Meta Defining
Aurelia (A6)
Aurelia offers strong AoE damage potential but struggles against highly mobile or aggressive boss encounters, resulting in inconsistent performance.
Fadia (A0)
Fadia functions as a hybrid sustain DPS, absorbing damage and converting it into self-healing and offensive output. However, optimal play often reduces the value of her sustain mechanics.
Adler (A6)
Adler provides strong shielding uptime and valuable debuffs such as break efficiency and resistance reduction, but remains situational in long-term meta relevance.
A Tier — Niche or Limited Impact
Mint (A6)
Mint is a stable mid-tier unit with consistent energy generation and reaction buildup. She performs reliably but lacks high-end scaling potential.
Skia (A6)
Skia suffers from current enemy design trends, particularly mobile bosses that reduce the effectiveness of his AoE ultimate ability.
B Tier — Lowest Meta Impact
Edgar (A6)
Edgar is primarily a healing-focused support unit with minimal offensive or utility contribution. While safe for casual gameplay, his impact in optimized team compositions is very limited.
Final Thoughts

The Neverness To Everness (NTE) tier list strongly favors synergy-driven team building over standalone character strength. Units like Nanally, Zero, and Haniel currently define optimal compositions due to their consistency and flexibility, while characters such as Chiz and Baicang reward mechanical mastery and investment scaling.
As the game evolves, future updates, balance adjustments, and new character releases are expected to significantly shift the meta, especially as additional reaction systems and team archetypes are introduced.
