Square Enix has released a new update for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on both Steam and the Epic Games Store, introducing NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. The patch also includes bug fixes and stability improvements, enhancing the game’s overall PC performance.

Square Enix Pushes Final Fantasy PC Visuals Further With DLSS 4
At launch, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth already featured DLSS Super Resolution, offering higher frame rates for GeForce RTX users. With the latest update, Square Enix has expanded that support to DLSS 4, bringing smoother gameplay and sharper visuals. The addition of Multi Frame Generation significantly improves fluidity while maintaining impressive image quality across demanding scenes.

DLSS 4 uses NVIDIA’s advanced transformer AI model to generate additional frames between rendered ones, effectively boosting performance. This means players can now enjoy a far more responsive experience without sacrificing detail or clarity, whether they are exploring vast open environments or battling fierce enemies.
DLSS 4 Brings Multi Frame Generation to Final Fantasy
According to NVIDIA, DLSS 4’s Multi Frame Generation allows modern RTX GPUs to deliver higher frame rates and reduce latency, particularly on the GeForce RTX 40 and 50 Series. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth now joins other newly enhanced games such as ARC Raiders and Duet Night Abyss, which also feature the same DLSS technology.

More than 800 games and applications now utilize RTX technologies, including DLSS, NVIDIA Reflex, and ray tracing, each contributing to a more optimized and immersive PC gaming ecosystem.
Director Naoki Hamaguchi Highlights the Enhanced Experience
Game director Naoki Hamaguchi praised the update, saying, “The visual experience has evolved once again. I hope you’ll give it a try and feel the difference for yourself.” His remarks emphasize Square Enix’s goal of continually improving the player experience, particularly on high-end PC hardware.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth continues the story of Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, Barret, and Red XIII as they leave the mako-powered city of Midgar and embark on a journey into the wider world. With DLSS 4 support, players can now experience their adventure in even greater visual fidelity and smoother performance than ever before.
