Type-Moon, fuzz, and Aniplex have officially launched Fate/hollow ataraxia REMASTERED on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, marking the visual novel’s first official release in the West. To celebrate the occasion, players can purchase the game at a 10% discount until August 20, 2025.
This remastered edition brings the beloved follow-up to Fate/stay night to a global audience, complete with enhanced visuals and a collection of included minigames. Returning fans and newcomers alike can now experience this iconic story in a more accessible format.
Classic Minigames Return — Minus Capsule Servant
In addition to the main storyline, the remaster offers a variety of quirky and entertaining minigames that add a lighter tone between the more intense narrative beats. Players can enjoy titles such as Jump! Tiger&Shorts Hanafuda Travel Journal EX (Excellion), Rise! Operation Super Space-Time Tiger&Shorts Hanafuda, Jump! Super Space-Time Tiger&Shorts Hanafuda Travel Journal EX (Excellion), Tempest Illya’s Castle Assault! Einzbern, and Better Fortune Tohsaka Shrine.
These minigames feature beloved characters in humorous scenarios and expand the overall experience. However, the popular Capsule Servant minigame is notably absent from this version.
A Sequel to Every Fate/stay night Route
Fate/hollow ataraxia is set nearly a year after the events of Fate/stay night. Rather than continuing from just one of the original game’s routes, this follow-up acts as a spiritual sequel to all of them, weaving together the storylines into a new narrative.
Players take control of Shirou Emiya, who now enjoys a peaceful life with the familiar cast of Stay Night. Alongside him is newcomer Bazzet Fraga McRemitz, a former participant of the previous Grail War who awakens with amnesia. As the two investigate a series of unsettling events, they uncover long-buried mysteries and confront a terrifying secret that threatens their world.
Fate/hollow ataraxia REMASTERED is now available digitally on Nintendo Switch and Steam. The 10% launch discount will remain active until August 20, 2025.
