Aniplex and TYPE-MOON have officially confirmed that Fate/hollow ataraxia Remastered will launch on August 7, 2025, for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
This will be the first time the beloved sequel to Fate/Stay Night arrives with official English and Simplified Chinese localizations, alongside HD visuals and key quality-of-life upgrades.
A Classic Visual Novel Reimagined for Modern Platforms
Originally released in 2005 for PC and later ported to the PS Vita in 2014, Fate/hollow ataraxia is a direct sequel to Fate/stay night. It follows Shirou Emiya and a new cast of characters trapped in a four-day time loop shortly after the events of the Fifth Holy Grail War.
The remastered version is based on the PS Vita edition and includes:

What is Fate/hollow ataraxia about?
Set in the familiar city of Fuyuki, the story alternates between Shirou Emiya and Bazett Fraga McRemitz, a Mage’s Association Enforcer who wakes up with memory loss. She partners with Avenger, a mysterious eighth-class Servant who urges her to continue a new version of the Holy Grail War.

The visual novel blends intense, dramatic storytelling with lighthearted comedy, offering players deeper interactions with familiar characters from the Fate universe.
A Fan-Favorite Returns With Localization
For over 20 years, Fate/hollow ataraxia remained locked behind Japan-only releases. While fans relied on fan translations, this remaster finally removes the language barrier for international audiences.
The game will be available digitally only on both platforms. The Japanese version is priced at 3,500 Yen, while Western pricing will be revealed soon.
