While most fashion brands chase fleeting trends, FINE CHAOS has taken a different path – one rooted in Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, and genuine passion. At the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2025, we spoke with Marc C. Møllerskov, the Creative Director whose lifelong love for the game just secured his four-year-old brand one of the most coveted collaborations in gaming fashion.
Marc isn’t your typical fashion creative. With a Shiba Inu named Yami Yugi and a closet filled with over 60,000 Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, his connection to the game runs deep. “I’ve played Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG since childhood, and I still play today,” he says. “I’m nowhere near good enough to qualify for big tournaments, but this collaboration means everything to me because of that personal connection.”
Building a Brand Around Community and Culture
Founded just four and a half years ago, FINE CHAOS creates clothing for young people with an emphasis on community. “Culture and community are always our first priority,” Marc explains. The brand’s identity draws heavily from gaming and anime – a natural extension of Marc’s self-proclaimed “weaboo” status.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! collaboration, then, is more than just another partnership– more than just throwing a name on a product. “This has been in the works for a year and a half,” he says. “We’re a team of eight working tirelessly, and for such a young brand to now collaborate with Yu-Gi-Oh! – it’s surreal.
The Journey to Landing the Dream Collaboration
Securing KONAMI’s attention required persistence and passion. The breakthrough came as FINE CHAOS expanded into Asia – opening doors in China, South Korea, and Japan. “I reached out to every single contact I had to make this happen,” Marc recalls. The trail wound from a friend in gaming, to a connection in China, then Japan, and finally to a pivotal meeting in America.

What ultimately convinced KONAMI wasn’t just business talk. “They could see how personal this was. I literally showed them my closet of 60,000 cards, even my dog. They could tell I was all-in.”

Personal Touch: The Fallen of Albaz Collection
Among the collection’s highlights is jewelry inspired by Fallen of Albaz, a card close to Marc’s heart. “I play “Branded” theme myself, and Fallen of Albaz was the first deck I picked up after returning to competitive play,” he says. It’s also one of Yu-Gi-Oh!’s most stylish archetypes. “From a fashion perspective, it just makes sense,” Marc notes. “And I love its fast play style.

The timing couldn’t be better, with KONAMI releasing a promotional short anime series centered on the character. “I’m incredibly thankful they let us use Fallen of Albaz – the timing is perfect.”
A Community-Driven Design Process
True to its ethos, deeply integrated within its values, FINE CHAOS involves its community throughout the design process. “We always base our collections on people,” Marc explains. “We look closely at what our community wears, and build from there.”
For this project, inspiration also came from his local gaming community at Faraos Cigarer in Copenhagen. “This collaboration is so personal. It’s my conversations with the people I play with – what they like, what I like – and finding that overlap.
Looking Ahead
As our conversation wrapped, Marc’s gratitude was unmistakable. “I hope people can feel how much care goes into every detail. Zoom in on the pieces and they’ll speak for themselves.”
For a young brand, the scale of the collaboration still feels surreal. “I’m so grateful. For us to secure something like this at this stage is just insane,” Marc reflects.

The FINE CHAOS x Yu-Gi-Oh! collection proves that the strongest collaborations don’t come from strategy alone – but from genuine passion. When childhood dreams meet professional persistence, the result can be nothing short of magic.
