Nintendo wrapped up its August 2025 Indie World Showcase with announcements for several upcoming indie games coming to Switch and the newly released Switch 2. The 15-minute presentation featured demos, trailers, and release dates for games launching through 2026.

Yacht Club Games kicked off the showcase with Mina the Hollower, revealing that a demo is now available on both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. The full game is set to launch on October 31, 2025. Well Dweller from Crypt Custodian developer Kyle Thompson received a new trailer showing its Hollow Knight-inspired world. Players will use slingshots, jump through swarms of bees, and fight large creatures when it releases in 2026.

Neverway, a life-sim RPG with pixel art from the artist behind Celeste, is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2026. The game follows a character named Fiona on her adventure. Herdling received an August 21, 2025 release date for Nintendo Switch. The game comes from the publishing team behind Firewatch and developers of the Far series, with pre-orders going live today.

Two games launched today alongside the showcase. Is This Seat Taken? is a puzzle game where players drag and drop small shape characters. Tiny Bookshop was also confirmed as available today in the closing sizzle reel.

Content Warning, the viral co-op horror game from Landfall Games, is jumping from PC to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 in 2026. Players work together to become content creators in the game. Little Kitty, Big City is getting a free update called Picture Purrfect later this year. The update adds a cat customizer, new areas, and more characters to meet.

Several games were announced specifically for Nintendo Switch 2. Glaciered, an underwater action-RPG set 65 million years in the future, is coming as a Switch 2 console exclusive this holiday season. Ball x Pit, a survival roguelike with brick-breaking action, launches October 15, 2025 on Switch with a Switch 2 version following this fall. Ultimate Sheep Raccoon, the follow-up to Ultimate Chicken Horse, is coming to both Switch and Switch 2 during holiday 2025.
