Rainbow Six: Operation Steel Wave Reveal

The reveal of the next Rainbow Six Siege season, season two of Year 5 was announced in Operation Steel Wave. Ace and Melusi are new Operators introduced in the newest Operation, an Attacker and Defender from Norway and South Africa respectively. The House map has also been entirely reworked, along with a slew of gameplay changes.

The newest Operators of Rainbow Six Siege, coming with Operation Steel Wave, sees Norwegian Attacker Ace, and South African Defender Melusi.

Ace was a part of the Norwegian Home Guard, acquiring a heroic reputation. When Ace was accepted into the Forsvarets Spesialkommando, he saved Kali’s life in a joint UN Operation in Somalia. An offer to join NIGHTHAVEN swiftly followed. He comes equipped with S.E.L.M.A., a throwable, sticky device that will stick to any vertical surface and slowly destroy up to 3 panels, one after another. The gadget can also be thrown at almost any defensive gadget to destroy it with its arms or water explosive.

Norwegian Attacker Ace and South African Defender Melusi are the two new Operators coming in Operation Steel Wave. As a part of the Norwegian Home Guard, Ace acquired a heroic reputation. Melusi in the mean time, signed up with the South African National Defence Force to broaden her skillset and fund her field ranger training. An ambushed left her badly wounded, and she resigned. As the heart of the Inkaba Task Force Anti-Poaching Unit, she began training local women in tracking, interception, and surveillance. Melusi possesses Banshee deployable electronic gadgets, capable of applying a slowing effect to any attackers in direct line of sight. The Banshee can also be used as an intel gadget as it produces an identifiable sound when an attacker entire its range.

Besides the two new Operators, the House map has been newly reworked, with notable changes to the basement area, attic and office tower.
