T-SPARK, the high-end toy brand under Japanese toy company Takara Tomy, has announced two new figures for its external collaboration series, SYNERGENEX. The lineup brings together Takara Tomy’s own ZOIDS franchise with Capcom’s popular hunting action game Monster Hunter, resulting in two new figures.
The first figure, the Wild Liger Zinogre, is based on the Zinogre, a Fanged Wyvern that first appeared in Monster Hunter Portable 3rd. While the Zinogre lacks wings and cannot fly, it makes up for it with highly developed limbs that allow for fast, agile movement. Its carapace acts as a battery, and its fur can channel electricity throughout its body, producing a brilliant blue glow before releasing currents as powerful as a lightning strike. In the games, Zinogre-derived weapons and armor are well regarded among hunters for their strong Thunder element and resistance, along with their striking visual designs.

The Wild Liger Zinogre figure is conceptualized as a Zoid built specifically for hunting Zinogre, based on the ZW01 Wild Liger, the protagonist’s unit from Zoids Wild. The figure features a completely new sculpt from the frame to the armor, recreating the Zinogre’s iconic color scheme. Design elements include powerful limbs, a large tail equipped with thrusters, electrified armor across its body, Thunderbug components on its back, and a head capable of firing a Roar Cannon from its mouth.

The second figure, the Wild Liger Stygian Zinogre, takes a different approach. It is based on the Stygian Zinogre, a subspecies of Zinogre that first appeared in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. While it shares a similar build with the standard Zinogre, the Stygian Zinogre has a black and white color scheme and a considerably more aggressive temperament. Rather than electricity, its body has a symbiotic relationship with Dracophage Bugs, allowing it to harness Dragon-elemental energy that appears as a crimson-black aura around its body. This energy lets it survive in extreme environments such as volcanoes and frozen tundras. Once fully charged, it enters its Draconic Aura state, which significantly boosts its combat capabilities.

The Wild Liger Stygian Zinogre is conceptualized as a Zoid designed to hunt Stygian Zinogre, modified from the ZW01 Wild Liger from Zoids Wild Blast. Like the Wild Liger Zinogre, it features entirely new sculpting from its frame to its armor, faithfully recreating the Stygian Zinogre’s powerful limbs, large booster-equipped tail, Dracophage Bug units on its back, and a head sculpt with a Roar Cannon. Gradient metallic paint is used to express the Dragon-elemental energy visually.
Both figures are priced at 7,700 JPY including tax. The Wild Liger Zinogre is scheduled for release in late January 2027, while the Wild Liger Stygian Zinogre follows shortly after with a late February 2027 release date.
