Nintendo has announced that Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave will launch exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 17, 2026. The announcement was made during the recent Nintendo Direct, which also included a new trailer giving players a closer look at the game’s cast of characters and gameplay.
The trailer gave viewers a closer look at the game’s new cast of characters and gameplay, offering fans the most detailed look at the title so far. Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is part of Nintendo’s long-running Fire Emblem series, which is known for its tactical RPG gameplay and character-driven storytelling.
For those looking to grab something beyond the standard release, Nintendo is also putting out a special limited edition called the “Dagdan Collection” on the same launch day. The package includes an art book, art cards, a SteelBook case, a physical copy of the game, and a map of The Land of Dagda.

The game is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, meaning it will not be available on the original Nintendo Switch. With the release just a few months away, today’s Nintendo Direct marks one of the closer looks fans have gotten at the game ahead of its launch later this year.
