Atlus has announced that Persona 4 Revival will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC on February 18, 2027. The game will also be available on Game Pass at launch, and pre-orders are now open. The announcement was made during Xbox Games Showcase.
The game is a new and revived take on the classic RPG, set in the rural Japanese town of Inaba where players take on the role of a high school student caught up in a murder investigation. Alongside the mystery is an urban legend about a strange TV channel that supposedly only appears on rainy nights, and as the story goes on, players discover a hidden world on the other side of television screens where they awaken a power called Persona.

Outside of combat and story, players can shape how they spend their in-game time through activities like attending school, joining clubs, taking on part-time jobs, and building relationships with the people of Inaba. These bonds, called Social Links, also tie into how the overall journey plays out. Combat is turn-based, with players going up against enemies called Shadows. The system involves targeting elemental weaknesses to knock enemies down, setting up a group finishing move called an All-Out Attack. Players can also collect and swap different Personas to change up their skills and approach in battle.
On the visual side, Atlus says Inaba’s environments have been rebuilt with updated graphics, bringing locations like riversides and rain-soaked streets to life in a more modern look while keeping the feel of the original setting.
