Capcom has announced that Resident Evil Requiem has surpassed five million sales since its release on February 27, marking a strong debut for the latest entry in the long-running survival horror series.
Resident Evil Requiem arrives as the franchise marks its 30th anniversary. Built on Capcom’s in-house RE ENGINE, the game pushes visual detail further than previous entries with realistic character skin, hair, and lighting effects all made possible by the engine.

Players can also switch between first-person and third-person perspectives on the fly, giving everyone the option to play in whatever style they’re most comfortable with. Multiple difficulty settings are also included, making the game accessible to newcomers while still offering a challenge for longtime fans of the series.
In our review of the game, Resident Evil Requiem earns its place in the series, with its dual protagonist system delivering two distinct gameplay experiences that work well alongside each other with Grace bringing genuine survival tension and Leon carrying the confidence of a seasoned veteran.

Capcom says it remains focused on meeting player expectations through its game development work going forward. Resident Evil Requiem is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC through both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
