Science-fiction action platformer REPLACED will no longer be hitting its March 12 release date. Publisher Thunderful Games and developer Sad Cat Studios have announced that the game is now set to launch on April 14, 2026, giving the team roughly one more month of development time. The game will still be coming to Xbox Series consoles and PC, with the PC version available across Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, and GOG.
In a statement posted by Sad Cat Studios, the team explained that while REPLACED is technically finished, they felt a few more weeks were needed to make sure the day-one experience meets the standard they set out to deliver. The studio described wanting the release version to be “polished, stable, and true to the vision” they had been working toward.

Sad Cat Studios also pointed to the response from the Steam demo as a key motivator heading into the final stretch. The team said the feedback from players — through reviews, gameplay videos, and comments — has been helping them make the last round of adjustments to the game. They noted that putting the demo out was nerve-wracking as a small team working on their first title, but the reaction from the community gave them a boost.
The studio wrapped up their message by thanking fans for their patience, acknowledging that many players have been following the game’s development for years. The Steam demo remains available for anyone who wants to try the game ahead of the new launch date.
