Eclipse Glow Games has released a new gameplay trailer and screenshots for Tides of Annihilation, titled “Break the Mirror.” The footage shows off previously unseen combat features and provides more details about the Arthurian legend-inspired action adventure game. Tides of Annihilation takes place in a modern-day London that has been fractured by an otherworldly invasion. Players control Gwendolyn, the lone survivor, as she searches for the Holy Grail to save her sister and restore the world. The game splits its action between the ruined city and a mysterious otherworldly realm.
“We’ve created a world that reimagines Arthurian Legend where themes of courage, loyalty, and heroism intertwine with an epic story set in a strange-yet-familiar setting that will test the mettle of true gamers and push the genre forward,” said Kun Fu, Lead Game Producer at Eclipse Glow Games.
The trailer introduces the Dual Frontline Battle System, a new feature that expands on the game’s Knights System. This system allows players to control both Gwendolyn and Sir Lamorak at the same time during combat. In the shown footage, both characters work together to attack the shape-shifting witch Tyronoe and break through her magical barriers.

The trailer shows a boss fight against Tyronoe at church ruins. During the encounter, the witch creates what the game calls a “Mirror Folded Realm.” These Folded Realms are otherworldly spaces that Gwendolyn will encounter multiple times throughout her journey. Tyronoe can travel between the human world and her Mirror Folded Realm, drawing on powerful magic from this dimension.
The trailer also reveals part of Sir Lamorak’s story, showing that his suffering is connected to the witch Tyronoe. This discovery leads Gwendolyn to confront the witch at the church ruins. Tides of Annihilation will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. No release date has been announced.
