The Silent Hill 2 remake may soon be coming to Xbox Series X/S consoles, based on a new listing that recently appeared on the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) website.
The ESRB already had a listing for the game from last year, before it launched on PlayStation 5 and PC. However, this new listing is separate and only lists Xbox Series as the platform, which suggests the game has been rated again ahead of an Xbox release. The rating summary for this Xbox listing is the same as the one for PS5 and PC, confirming it’s the remake and not a re-release of the original PlayStation 2 and Xbox version from 2001.

The Silent Hill 2 remake launched as a PS5 console exclusive on October 8, 2024. If the game is coming to Xbox Series X/S, it appears the exclusivity period may have lasted around a year. The game received a Mature 17+ rating from the ESRB for Blood and Gore, Sexual Themes, Strong Language, and Violence. Players take on the role of James Sunderland, who returns to the town of Silent Hill while dealing with his troubled past.
The game features combat against various creatures and humans using weapons like pistols, shotguns, and knives, along with horror elements including graphic imagery and mature themes throughout. Neither publisher Konami nor developer Bloober Team has officially announced an Xbox version of the Silent Hill 2 remake.
