Summer Special Vol. 2 Heats Up

The main highlight of the patch is the Summer Special Vol. 2 event, running from September 18 to October 17, 2025. Players can earn free rewards by leveling up the event track, including The Thing’s “Rocky Tide” costume at no cost. Those who upgrade to the premium edition gain permanent access and additional exclusive skins, such as Mantis’ “Oceanic Harmony” and Human Torch’s “Sunny Sizzler.”
In addition to the battle pass rewards, premium bundles featuring Invisible Woman (Azure Shade) and The Punisher (Aqua Arsenal) are now available. Players can also claim the limited-time “Volleyball Bash” group emote bundle for free between September 19 and 22.
More Features and Quality-of-Life Updates

The update isn’t just about cosmetics. Chat channels now support font colors, emojis, and special characters, giving players more tools to express themselves. Replay Data has also been improved, offering more detailed hero statistics to help players analyze matches.
On the technical side, the patch resolves a wide range of issues. Quick Match and Arcade modes will no longer add substitute players near the end of games. Several bugs with the Career system have been fixed, and console users on PS5 should notice smoother performance thanks to optimizations that reduce screen tearing.
Bug Fixes Across Heroes and Maps

A number of hero-specific issues were also addressed. Angela’s oversized head bug in Giant-Size Brain Blast has been corrected, while Loki, Ultron, and Luna Snow all received polish to their abilities and animations. These adjustments ensure cleaner visuals and fewer unexpected glitches in battle.
Looking Ahead of Marvel Rivals
Marvel Rivals continues to evolve as a live service, with frequent updates and seasonal content keeping the community engaged. However, dataminers have discovered files hinting at a new “Mysteries” feature, sparking speculation that loot boxes could arrive in the future. While NetEase has not confirmed this, the possibility raises questions given the controversy around similar mechanics in games like Overwatch.
For now, fans can dive into Summer Special Vol. 2 and enjoy the new cosmetics, features, and improvements included in the latest update.
