Focus Entertainment’s highly anticipated third-person action title Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 has been officially delayed.
Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 was originally slated for a Winter 2023 release; however, with November coming to an end and still no news about the release date of the title, it was inevitable that a delay would be announced.
From an official statement, Focus Entertainment mentions that Space Marine 2 had been delayed to the second half of 2024 because they wanted to ensure the game would be released at the highest quality.
“The game is now poised to ship in the second half of 2024, to provide the time needed to properly polish the game and to ensure the best possible experience. Focus Entertainment is committed to releasing a game that is of the highest quality and that exceeds the expectations of the countless fans of the franchise. Space Marine 2 has already accumulated over a million wish lists to date.”
However, Focus Entertainment did mention that they will be revealing the official release date for Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 in early December.
While they did not specify when they will reveal the release date, the title was originally revealed back in The Game Awards 2021, so it is safe to assume that we can expect the announcement by then.
