Lethal Company, a recently released co-op horror experience has had a very strong first month, with the game on a hot streak on Steam right now.

Developed by Zeekerss, the game’s available on Early Access right now, with the developer having also recently pushed out the title’s first major update.

According to Gamalytic, the game has sold 1.7 million units since its launch on October 23rd, and in the past 24 hours hit its all-time high of over 123,000 concurrent players according to SteamDB.

The game takes the Phasmophobia approach to design, being based around cooperative play- in this case, you’re employees of a space corporation set to collect scrap from various zones.

You’ll need to be able to hit your profit quotas, which means having to balance the risk of going out to collect more scrap against your ability to come back to the ship alive with the rest of your crew.

Just like in Phasmophobia, Lethal Company has you needing to avoid getting killed by various horrors- you’ll need to prep your squad with enough gear to survive each encounter, and also plan your time to make sure you’re not unnecessarily putting yourself at risk of being killed by various threats.

Avoiding them can involve anything from not going out at night to having to stay silent in real life, since some enemies can even respond to your microphone.
