SEGA released the Behind the Scenes documentary for Like a Dragon titled “The Road Ahead” by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. The second episode features Takaya Kuroda recording lines as Kazuma Kiryu for the first time in three years.
The second episode of the year long series, this behind the scenes coverage commenced filming shortly after the studio’s “new start” back in October 2021.
In this video “The Road Ahead”, fans get to take a behind the scenes look at the development of Like a Dragon: Ishin! , which launched on 22nd February. We also got a glimpse of the studio’s attitude towards game development, including some heated discussions to find the best solution to fill in the gaps in the remake; as well as team-building ideas proposed by Director Masayoshi Yokohama.
Kiryu Kazuma fans will be in for a treat as this episode takes a close look at a recording session for Like a Dragon 8, along with an exclusive interview with Takaya Kuroda.
Like a Dragon 8 was initially teased at the Ryu Ga Gotoku summit livestream back in September 2022 and serves as a sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon. The game features Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu as dual protagonists. However, Kasuga will serve as the main protagonist of the game’s story while Kiryu will act as a supporting character.
