Kuro Games has announced that Wuthering Waves Version 3.0, titled “We Who See the Stars,” will launch on December 25. The free update expands the open-world action RPG with new story chapters, playable Resonators, regions, events, and major system upgrades across all platforms.
Blending mechanical science-fiction with space-themed romance, Version 3.0 represents one of the game’s most ambitious updates to date.
A New Chapter in the Main Story

Version 3.0 pushes the narrative forward with Chapter III, introducing two new main quest acts. Players will experience “What Burns Beneath Frostlands” and “Ode to the Second Sunrise,” before beginning their journey at Startorch Academy.

In addition, a Main Quest Fast Track Event allows players to jump directly into the new region after interacting with the Resonance Nexus in Jinzhou. As a result, both new and returning players can access Version 3.0 content faster than before.

To celebrate the update, players can also log in to receive Radiant Tide x10 and Crystal Solvent x10 via in-game mail.
Exploring Lahai-Roi and New World Enhancements
The update introduces Lahai-Roi, a brand-new area designed with improved environmental detail and ambient audio. On PC, visual upgrades further enhance the region’s unique terrain, delivering a more immersive exploration experience.

Meanwhile, players gain access to a new Expedition Motorbike, offering faster and smoother world traversal.
New Resonators, Weapons, and Convene Banners

Version 3.0 adds two new playable Resonators: Lynae and Mornye. Alongside them, new limited-time Convene banners roll out across two phases.

New weapons, including Spectrum Blaster and Starfield Calibrator, also debut, supported by fresh weapon banners. Furthermore, the new Synth Armament Series expands build options for advanced players.
Events, Echoes, and High-Difficulty Challenges

A wide range of limited-time events arrives with the update, such as Lahai-Roi Pioneers, Capturing Starlight, and Startorch Racing. In addition, players can take on high-end content like Doubled Pawns Matrix: Pilot and Tactical Hologram: Dreamless.

Version 3.0 also introduces new Echoes, Sonata Effects, Phantom Echoes, and the permanent event Operation: Frontier Renewal, significantly expanding endgame depth.
Mobile, Interface, and System Improvements
On mobile, Version 3.0 improves download flexibility with download-while-playing, resource categorization, and a new Resource Cleanup feature. Frame Generation support also expands to flagship mobile chipsets.

Finally, UI improvements add dynamic visuals and clearer navigation across event and lineup interfaces. For more updates on the game, follow their official X account.
