ASUS ROG (Republic of Gamers) has released two new travel items as part of its 20th anniversary lineup, the ROG SLASH Backpack Edition 20 and the ROG SLASH Hard-Case Luggage Edition 20. Unboxing both reveals a black and translucent-gold color scheme that sets them apart from ROG’s regular product lineup, along with the brand’s signature SLASH pattern carried across the backpack’s fabric and the luggage’s hard shell.
ROG SLASH Backpack Edition 20
The backpack builds on the design of the ROG SLASH Backpack 4.0 with anniversary-themed styling. It uses a FIDLOCK magnetic buckle and a roll-top design, which lets the user adjust how much space they need depending on the length of the trip. The bag can hold a laptop up to 18 inches, along with peripherals and other items. It measures 625mm in length, 290mm in width, and 160mm in height, and weighs 1400 grams.
The backpack also has a breathable backrest meant to improve airflow and reduce pressure during long carries, along with a side zipper for easy access and multiple organizers for smaller items. An adjustable sternum strap is included for a more secure fit. Inside, a fleece-lined compartment is meant to keep the laptop cushioned and free of scratches, and the bag uses tear-resistant, water-repellent material along with a YKK zipper.
ROG SLASH Hard-Case Luggage Edition 20
The hard-case luggage uses the same black and translucent-gold palette and SLASH pattern as the backpack, along with a stainless gold steel plate. It is built as a 20-inch carry-on, measuring 370mm in length, 230mm in width, and 545mm in height, making it suited for both air and train travel.
The outer shell is made of 100% polycarbonate, paired with an aluminum frame with reinforced corners for added protection. Bump lines on the exterior are meant to help with grip and add extra strength. It moves on 360-degree silent skate wheels, and includes a TSA-compliant lock, a separate compartment for gaming gear, and a removable foam divider with a zipper mesh bag for keeping items in place.
Both products are part of ROG’s wider Edition 20 lineup, a collection of limited-edition components and gear released to mark the brand’s 20th anniversary. With the backpack and the hard-case luggage now unboxed, ROG’s Edition 20 travel lineup brings the brand’s 20-year milestone into gear users can carry with them on every trip.
For those looking to pair their new ROG gear with equally capable hardware, the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 remains one of the brand’s standout laptops, offering a dual-screen setup built for gaming and creative work alike.
