Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the third and final entry in the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, will launch worldwide on April 8, 2027. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox on PC, Steam, and Epic Games Store. The release will also mark the 30th anniversary of the original Final Fantasy VII.
The game serves as the conclusion to the remake project that began with Final Fantasy VII Remake in 2020 and continued with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in 2024. The trilogy reimagines the original 1997 game using modern technology, beginning with Cloud Strife and his journey in Midgar before expanding into a wider adventure involving the fate of the planet.
Pre-orders are now available across several editions. Physical versions include the Standard Edition at $69.99, the Deluxe Edition at $99.99, and the Collector’s Edition at $349.99, which is exclusive to the Square Enix Store. The Deluxe Edition includes a mini soundtrack, art book, and steelbook case, while the Collector’s Edition also includes a premium statue featuring Cloud, Zack, and Sephiroth, along with a Story Expansion Pass and several in-game items.
Digital versions include the Standard Edition at $69.99, the Premium Edition at $99.99, and the Premium Plus Edition at $109.99. The Premium editions include the Story Expansion Pass, which provides access to two story-focused downloadable content releases. The first will focus on Sephiroth, while the second will focus on Vincent and The Turks. Both are planned for release between winter 2027 and spring 2028.
The Premium Plus Edition also includes a digital art book, digital mini soundtrack, Summoning Materia: Polydroid Alexander, Nymphwing Bracelet armor, and Risk Taker’s Choker accessory. A Trilogy Edition priced at $84.99 will also be available digitally, bundling Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and Final Fantasy VII Revelation. The first two games will be playable immediately after pre-ordering.
With its new locations, expanded party, combat systems, and conclusion to the three-game remake project, Final Fantasy VII Revelation is set to bring the current Final Fantasy VII Remake storyline to its final chapter on April 8, 2027.
