Fate/EXTRA Record will launch worldwide on January 28, 2027, publisher Aniplex and developers Meteorise and TYPE-MOON announced. The game will is a remake of Fate/Extra and will be released for PlayStation 5, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam.

In Fate/EXTRA Record, players take on the role of a Master in the Moon Holy Grail War, a battle between Masters and their Servants over the Holy Grail. The story takes place in SE.RA.PH, a vast digital world hidden on the moon, where 128 Master-Servant pairs take part in the contest. Players will explore dungeons to strengthen their Servant while gathering information on rival Masters and Servants. Discovering an opponent’s True Name can provide an advantage in the final battle on the last day of the Holy Grail War.

Physical editions will be available for PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and Switch, with XSEED Games and Marvelous Europe handling distribution. The game will feature Japanese audio, along with subtitles in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese. Pre-orders are already available across several editions. The Standard Edition includes a copy of the game and is priced at $59.99 on console, or $69.99 on Switch 2. The PC version costs $59.99 or €59.99.

The physical-only Limited Edition costs $89.99 on console and $99.99 on Switch 2. It includes the game, a three-disc original soundtrack in a SteelBook case, and a Material / Art and Concept Book. The soundtrack contains 75 tracks, including music from the remake and arranged tracks from the original Fate/EXTRA. The Digital Deluxe Edition is priced at $79.99 on console and $79.99 or €79.99 on PC. It includes the game, an arranged background music pack featuring music from the original Fate/EXTRA, three outfit packs, and a digital soundtrack and art book. The outfit packs are the Beach Style Set, Night Style Set, and Festival Style Set.

The remake will bring its story, dungeon exploration, and command battles together in a new release for fans of the series and newcomers alike.
