Akatsuki Games and Too Kyo Games have announced that their free-to-play extreme action RPG TRIBE NINE will launch globally on February 20, 2025. The game will be available on PC through Steam, as well as iOS and Android platforms.
The announcement came during the “TRIBE NINE Version 1.0 Release Preview Program: Enter Neo Tokyo” event, where developers showcased the game’s release trailer, offering players a fresh look at the world of Neo Tokyo.
Set in the year 20XX, TRIBE NINE tells the story of a dystopian Neo Tokyo ruled by a mysterious masked figure called Zero, who has mandated that all conflicts be resolved through “Extreme Games” (XG). Players will lead a resistance movement of young rebels who utilize “Extreme Baseball” (XB) techniques to fight for freedom.
The gameplay features three-person team battles where each character possesses unique abilities and combat styles. The battle system emphasizes team coordination, with AI companions providing tactical support through aggro management, healing, and synchronized attacks. A distinctive feature is the XB battle mode, which showcases special dueling sequences through dynamic 3D cutscenes.

Players will explore Neo Tokyo through a 2D pixel-art overworld, where they can discover hidden treasures, participate in mini-games, and complete side quests for local residents. While the game is free-to-play, it will include optional in-app purchases.
