At Tokyo Game Show 2025, we got our hands on KILLER INN, a new multiplayer survival game that combines shooting action with social deception. After a 30-minute demo, it’s clear this game wants to keep you guessing who you can trust.
KILLER INN puts 24 players into a single deadly match that lasts one night. Players are split into different roles – some become wolves (the killers), while others are lambs (the targets), plus some secret roles thrown into the mix. The wolves need to blend in with everyone else, waiting for the right moment to strike. Meanwhile, the lambs aren’t completely helpless – they can gather clues like hair, fingerprints, and torn clothing to figure out who the killers are.

The game gives players clear goals based on their roles:
- Lambs need to either escape the area or find and eliminate the wolves
- Wolves must stop the lambs from escaping or kill them all
Before the chaos begins, you pick a job that comes with special abilities. No matter what role you get, you’ll spend time collecting resources like pills to stay alive and coins to buy gear. Wolves usually go for attack items like grenades and traps, while lambs focus on healing supplies and escape tools. You can also take on side missions from NPCs to earn extra coins for better equipment.

Playing as the Wolf
During our demo, we played as a wolf. The goal seemed simple – eliminate the lambs – but the real challenge was staying hidden. After each kill, we had to clean up the mess by wiping away blood and destroying evidence. Getting caught meant instant game over.

The game uses quick-time events for stealth kills. Both the attacker and victim have to hit button prompts – success means the kill goes through, but failing could expose the wolf immediately. Wolves can even pretend to help lambs with puzzles or finding escape keys, only to betray them later. One surprising discovery was that wolves can kill other wolves too, which we learned the hard way by accidentally taking out a teammate.

KILLER INN First Impressions
KILLER INN does a solid job of creating that feeling where you can’t trust anyone. Every move feels risky, every player could be an enemy, and finding new clues can completely change how the game plays out. The game combines psychological warfare with action gameplay, creating something that feels fresh and unpredictable.

The title seems to hit a sweet spot between social deception and survival tension. It’s messy, full of lies, and keeps you nervous the whole time. Whether you’re a lamb trying to escape or a wolf planning your next move, each round plays out differently. Our demo session left us both stressed and excited – which seems like exactly what the developers were going for.
