Sony Interactive Entertainment has finally lifted the curtain on FlexStrike, the official name for its long-awaited Project Defiant.
This marks PlayStation’s first-ever wireless fight stick, revealed just days before EVO 2025 kicks off in Las Vegas.
Meet FlexStrike – Built for Fighters

Designed for both PS5 and PC, FlexStrike supports both wired USB-C and PlayStation Link, Sony’s ultra-low latency wireless tech. Unlike typical arcade controllers, FlexStrike includes mechanical buttons and toolless swappable restrictor gates in square, circle, and octagon shapes.

You can store everything inside its internal compartments, including the PS Link USB adapter, and carry it all with the included sling case. Whether you’re heading to a tournament, a friend’s place, or hosting local matches, FlexStrike is made to be ready when you are.
FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick – Key Features

FlexStrike isn’t just another pretty piece of hardware. It’s designed with fighting game players in mind, offering smart features that blend comfort, convenience, and pro-level precision:
- Simultaneous Audio Connection
Link both your fight stick and a Pulse Elite headset or Pulse Explore earbuds to one PS Link adapter. On PS5, this means seamless low-latency audio and voice chat during your matches. - Two Fight Sticks, One Adapter
Want to face off locally? You can connect two FlexStrike fight sticks to the same PS5 via one adapter for couch multiplayer or co-op sessions. - Comfortable and Durable Design
FlexStrike features a non-slip base, angled surfaces, and a custom-designed digital stick. It stays put and feels great in your hands, no matter how intense the match gets. - DualSense Integration
Keep your DualSense controller connected while using FlexStrike. Switch freely between characters, menus, or modes without replugging. - Custom Control Layouts
Use the built-in lever mode switch to change directional input types. Lock your layout during matches with a dedicated lock button to prevent mistakes. - Wireless and Rechargeable
Charge via USB-C and wake your PS5 with a single press of the PS button. No need to fumble with menus when it’s time to play.
First Look at EVO 2025

Attending EVO 2025 in Las Vegas this August 1–3? Head to the Fight Stick Museum and the Arc System Works booth for your first real-world look at FlexStrike, complete with the sling carry case.
If you’re looking to level up your game, FlexStrike might just be your next best weapon. With wireless freedom, pro-level control, and thoughtful design, it’s built for both casual players and competitive warriors alike.
FlexStrike launches in 2026, though a specific release date hasn’t been confirmed. Sony will share more updates, including pre-order details and pricing, on the official PlayStation Blog.
