Capcom has shaken up its update plans for Monster Hunter Wilds, announcing that version 1.021 will arrive on August 13 with some major additions that were originally meant to come much later. The biggest change is that endgame content expansion, which was supposed to be part of Title Update 3 in late September, is now coming early. This means players will get their hands on a new quest difficulty level and an updated Talisman reward system much sooner than expected.

The new Talisman system will give players random skill combinations as rewards from these harder quests, adding more variety to the gear chase that keeps hunters coming back for more.
Along with the new content, the update will also bring weapon balance changes. Capcom says these adjustments will cover more weapons than they first planned, though they haven’t shared the full details yet. Complete patch notes will be released closer to the August 13 launch date.

There’s also good news for players enjoying the current Festival of Accord Flamefete Summer Seasonal Event. Instead of ending on August 6 as originally planned, Capcom is extending it for an extra week to give players more time to participate.
Moving the update in Monster Hunter Wilds from early August to mid-August gives the developers time to pack in these bigger features that were months away. Monster Hunter Wilds is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam.
