Marvel Studios is delaying the release of its upcoming Avengers movies, both helmed by the Russo Brothers. Avengers: Doomsday has been rescheduled from May 1 to December 18, 2026, while Avengers: Secret Wars will now debut on December 17, 2027, instead of May 7.
According to insiders, these films rank among the most ambitious ever undertaken, and the additional time will help bring their expansive vision to life. Disney and Marvel chose December release dates in part due to past holiday season successes, such as Spider-Man: No Way Home. Production on Avengers: Doomsday is currently underway.
