Sucker Punch Productions has announced Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition, which will launch on PS5 on October 1. The announcement was shared by Andrew Goldfarb, Senior Communications Manager at the studio, and arrives close to the one-year anniversary of the original game’s launch.
The Complete Edition adds two major pieces of new content. The first is Echoes of Sekigahara, a narrative expansion that moves between the present day and flashbacks to Atsu’s time on the mainland. Players will meet a new character named Nagato, who has arrived in Ezo from Atsu’s past. In the present-day story, players can explore a previously unseen valley once home to a character called The Snake and his followers, known as the Vipers. The flashback portion covers Atsu’s experience at the Battle of Sekigahara, described as a key moment before she returned home to pursue her quest for vengeance. The expansion also adds new enemies, heavy weapons, armor sets, and dyes.
The second addition is Most Wanted, a single-player combat survival mode described as the studio’s take on a roguelike. Players accept bounties to begin new runs, and defeating enemies earns perks along with unlocks for additional playable characters. Alongside Atsu, who fights with dual katana, players can also take on runs as Oyuki, who uses a kusarigama, and Nagato, who fights with a yari.

Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition will be priced at $69.99 USD. It includes the base game, the new Echoes of Sekigahara expansion, the Most Wanted mode, and Ghost of Yōtei Legends, the game’s online co-op mode that supports up to four players across multiple gameplay types, ending in a Raid. Players who already own Ghost of Yōtei can access the new expansion and mode through the Complete Edition Upgrade, priced at $14.99 USD. Those who don’t already have the Digital Deluxe Edition content and Charm of Hokkyokusei will receive them immediately after pre-ordering, and pre-ordering by September 30 also comes with the early Sakai Armor unlock on release day.
