South Korean development studio Dynamis One, formed by former staff of Blue Archive, has officially unveiled its next project titled Astrae Oratio. The announcement comes through publisher NCSoft, which confirmed that more details about the game will be revealed on May 7 via a countdown on the official website.
The reveal marks a new chapter for the studio following the cancellation of its controversial debut project, previously known as Project KV.
Astrae Oratio Emerges From Project AT Development

Astrae Oratio was previously developed under the codename Project AT and is described as a fantasy subculture RPG centered on themes of magic and administration. While full gameplay details remain limited, early descriptions suggest a narrative-driven experience with a strong emphasis on fantasy worldbuilding and structured systems.
The game’s official website currently features a countdown timer leading up to its next major information drop, which is expected to include deeper insights into gameplay, setting, and development direction.
Project KV Controversy and Sudden Cancellation
Before Astrae Oratio, Dynamis One had announced Project KV in August 2024, with its first trailer released shortly after in September. However, the project was abruptly cancelled just one week after its reveal following significant backlash.
Criticism largely stemmed from perceived visual and thematic similarities to Blue Archive, as many members of Dynamis One had previously worked on that title during their time at Nexon.
The controversy escalated quickly, ultimately leading to the project being shut down before it could progress further.
Legal Investigations and Industry Scrutiny

Following the cancellation of Project KV, Dynamis One became the subject of multiple investigations. Allegations included unauthorized data handling, employee regulation violations, and concerns related to internal development practices tied to earlier Nexon projects.
These developments placed the studio under heavy scrutiny within the Korean gaming industry, with uncertainty surrounding its future at the time.
NCSoft Investment Helps Stabilize Development
Despite earlier turbulence, Dynamis One received a significant boost in January 2026 when NCSoft invested in the studio and took on publishing responsibilities for its new project.
Since then, development on Astrae Oratio appears to have continued without major interruption, suggesting a more stable production environment compared to the studio’s previous attempt.
A New Direction for Dynamis One
While details remain limited ahead of the May 7 reveal, Astrae Oratio represents an important opportunity for Dynamis One to redefine itself after a difficult period. The shift from controversy to a newly supported fantasy RPG positions the studio at a critical turning point.
With NCSoft backing and renewed public attention, all eyes are now on how Astrae Oratio will differentiate itself when more information is officially unveiled.
