Digimon Survive is being delayed, according to the game’s producer on twitter. No official announcement has been made, however, and no new release date has been given.
The game was originally supposed to launch in 2019, before being delayed to 2020. Thanks to a tweet by producer Kazumasa Habu, we know they’re currently “refocusing the game’s schedule”.
The tweet, written in reply to a concerned fan, is as follows:
We apologize for any inconvenience. Digimon Survive is reviewing its development system and repartitioning its schedule. We will make adjustments to all relevant parties and report on the situation in the near future. We apologize for the inconvenience, but thank you for your patience.
Survive is an upcoming tactical RPG for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Unlike previous Digimon games, Survive has you working with the NPCs to survive after being taken to a strange new reality. It looks like it has an overall darker tone compared to previous titles.
