Beat-em mobile game Captor Clash recently got a global release a few days ago, but players had noticed that the game censors the design of certain characters.
Reddit user u/Over-the-river made a post comparing the splash art designs of three characters in the game: Vanini, Atiyah, and Hsueh. From the comparison, the illustration of these three characters had been altered to cover up their original more exposed design with new layer of clothing.

What’s interesting is that the official launch trailer of the game that was released 3 days ago (as of time of writing) still uses the uncensored art for the characters. Meaning that the decision to change out the designs was most likely a last minute decision.

It is not uncommon that character designs in games often be censored due to needing to comply to age ratings, much like Persona 5: The Phantom X and Goddess of Victory: Nikke.
Captor Clash is a beat-em up styled ARPG where players can choose their team from a diverse set of heroes to build the perfect team builder to take on the competition in fast-paced 1v1 battles. The game is now available to download for both Android and iOS devices.
