Activision announced during gamescom 2025 that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will release on November 14, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through Steam, Microsoft Store, and Battle.net. The game will also be available on Game Pass at launch.
Players who pre-order any edition of the game will get early access to the open beta starting October 2, while all players can join the open beta on October 5.
Black Ops 7 is set in 2035 and follows David Mason leading a special operations team on a mission to the Mediterranean city of Avalon. The story deals with global conflict and psychological warfare as the team uncovers a plot that connects to their past.
The campaign can be played solo or with up to four players in co-op mode. Players will visit different locations including Japanese rooftops, the Mediterranean coast, and other varied environments. The campaign features returning characters like David Mason and Raul Menendez, plus new characters including Emma Kagan.

All pre-orders include early beta access starting October 2. Digital pre-orders and certain Game Pass subscribers get the Reznov Challenge Pack for Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
The Vault Edition includes four additional operators, five weapon blueprints, eight Ultra GobbleGums for Zombies, one season of BlackCell content, and a Permanent Unlock Token. The open beta runs from October 2 to 8, with the full game launching November 14, 2025 on all announced platforms.
