Capcom is preparing big changes for PC players struggling with Monster Hunter Wilds performance issues. The company announced that Free Title Update 4 for Monster Hunter Wilds coming this winter, will focus heavily on fixing the game’s PC optimization problems.
The free update will bring CPU and GPU optimization fixes to address the main issues PC players have been facing. These include frequent crashes, low frame rates, unstable gameplay, and high usage of CPU, GPU, and RAM resources. Capcom plans to roll out these improvements in two stages. First, they’ll release the main optimization fixes, followed by additional measures to make sure everything works properly.

While previous patches have tried to fix these problems, Capcom seems to be taking a more focused approach with Update 4. The update will have fewer new features compared to past releases – just one new monster and some tougher hunts. There are no planned weapon changes or new reward systems. This lighter content load suggests the development team is putting more time and effort into fixing the technical problems that have frustrated PC players since launch.
PC players won’t have to wait until winter for all improvements. Capcom said they will release smaller Monster Hunter Wilds optimization updates in the coming weeks leading up to the major Title Update 4. The company hasn’t shared specific details about what these gradual improvements will include, but promised more information will come later.
