Berserk Volume 41, the first collected volume since Kentaro Miura’s passing, will release this December with a regular and Special Edition.
Volume 41 is the first compiled volume of Berserk released in 3 years, releasing December 24th. The special edition will include a special drama cd, which features an adaptation of the Awakening arc from Berserk, which has never been adapted in the series multiple anime adaptations.
On top of that, the special edition includes a special canvas featuring art by the late Kentaro Miura, which was also used as the key visual for the Berserk exhibition in Sunshine City in Tokyo.
Miura’s passing was a huge blow to the anime and gaming communities, given the widespread influence Berserk had over almost every fantasy story to come out of Japan since its launch. Miura was 54 when he passed away, due to an acute aortic dissection.
This week will also mark the launch of Chapter 364 of Berserk, which serves as a memorial to the artist with letters from other manga artists, as well a a collection of some of the most iconic scenes from the long-running manga.
